Will Oxygen crisis end in India?

More than the Covid crisis, Oxygen availability crisis has got into more headlines in recent days.

However, contrary to popular belief, India does have enough Oxygen. India produces 1 lakh Ton of oxygen every SINGLE day! This is before covid and after pandemic too.

However, Out of 1 lak ton, only 1% is used for medical purpose and remaining 99% is used for Industries.

Last year Centre has asked States to come up with Oxygen concentration plants so that this Industrial oxygen can be distributed easily when there is a crisis. However States didn't do it.

So now Central govt is using Railways and Military airplanes to pick up oxygen from Industrial plants and deliver them all over India

In addition to this, Central govt is also going to create Oxygen generation plants in all of 551 districts of India so that in future, Govt doesn’t have to divert Oxygen meant for Industries to hospitals.

So Govt of India is addressing the Oxygen crisis on a short term and long term basis as well.

Very soon, Oxygen crisis will be resolved.
