Will BJP change Hyderabad name to Bhagyanagar?
Today’s election results for Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) had stunned ruling TRS party and Hyderabad based Muslim league party AIMIM with BJP securing 48 out of 150 wards.
In previous election, TRS party got 99, Owaisi led Muslim party AIMIM got 44 and BJP 4. Today’s election result saw a steep drop for TRS from 99 to 55 wards. BJP had an astronomical gain from 4 wards to 48 wards!! Owaisi’s Muslim party retained their 44 seats as they are strong in Muslim dominated areas of Hyderabad.
This is an unprecedented gain for BJP when compared to any other state in the country. BJP always believes in grassroot revolution and they were massively successful this time with GHMC elections.
Never before for a municipal ward election did Home Minister of India (Amit Shah), Chief Minister of a state ( Yogi Adityanath), MP (Tejasvi Surya) participated in campaign rallies. It only shows how serious BJP is with making in roads into Telangana state.
During the campaign, all BJP leaders have addressed Hyderabad as “Bhagyanagar”. Amit Shah too visited Bhagya Lakshmi temple at Charminar when there are lot other temples in the city.
BJP is on a mission to reclaim India’s ancient heritage. Prayagraj is considered India’s oldest and holiest city with it being close to Triveni Sangam of 3 Hindu holy rivers. However Mughals named it as Allahabad meaning Allah ki Aabad. Aabad means residence in Urdu. So they changed Hindus holiest city as residence of Allah. Yogi Adityanath renamed it back to it’s original name.
Hyderabad too means Hyder ki Aabad meaning residence of muslim king Hyder. Yogi Adityanath hinted that Hyderabad name also should be restored to it’s original name.
After the results, BJP Telangana head thanked the people of “Bhagyanagar” . He deliberately choose to address Hyderabad as Bhagyanagar.
All BJP cadre are celebrating the victory by calling Hyderabad as Bhagyanagar.
There is a resurgence of sorts within Hindus in all states of India. They seemed to have got tired with one sided secularism forcefully being rubbed on them.
BJP will be a major contender in next Telangana assembly election, now that they have prepared the “ground” for it.
