Why Vivek Ramaswamy cannot be a Good USA President?
Vivek Ramaswamy is in news recently for making to it the top list of Presidential candidates from Republican party!
He is a successful entrepreneur who is into Healthcare business and is one of the youngest self made billionaire in the country. He has decided to step down as CEO of the company he founded and joined the Presidential race for 2024 election.
Vivek created a furor by announcing that he would shutdown govt institutions including FBI, IRS and Department of Education! He opines there is too much bureaucracy in all govt institutions and the only way to get rid of it to shut all of them down!
Vivek said if he is allowed to be president only for 8 years, then US govt bureaucrats also should be in service only for 8 years! Since US cannot fire individual govt employees, he said there is an option to do mass layoffs in Govt sector as per the constitution. So he will lay off 75% of govt employees including those in FBI.
Since Vivek is a business man he is only thinking like one but he completely misses the administration aspect! Administration cannot be done or run like a business!
For example Indians think lot of police are corrupt especially constables but one should not forget Shri Tukaram Omble who sacrificed his life to nab Kasab during 11/28 Mumbai attacks.
Vivek also said he will shutdown govt schools and instead give that money to tax payers and let the parents choose which school they want their kids to go. This is completely impractical since US govt cannot afford to sponsor each of its child citizens to goto private schools.
Vivek is thinking like a business man and not like an Administrator. America is not a company but a country. Institutions like police department cannot be run for profit like a business!
There will be many classified activities that agencies like FBI may be doing in the interest of the country. Vivek cannot generalize and insult govt institutions and see them through a CEO lens.
His ideas definitely expose him as an amateur rich person who thinks the only way to run a country is to look at efficiencies and abruptly shutdown agencies without doing deeper analysis.
America will suffer if he becomes President unless he urgently reverses his thought process!
