Why Kapus disowned Pawan Kalyan?

With only about a month to general elections, political atmosphere has heated up! Andhra Pradesh is a state where politics is driven by caste unlike other states where Religion or other factors take precedence.

10 years ago Pawan Kalyan launched his party with much fanfare. Kapu caste members who were vying for someone from their caste to emerge as head of State saw Pawan Kalyan as a beacon of hope after Chiranjeevi abruptly closed his party and left politics.

2019 was a defining moment and many thought Pawan Kalyan’s party will emerge as a 3rd alternative including Y S Jagan who said JSP may get upto 35 assembly seats in 2019 elections!

As the 2019 election date approached, it became very clear for Kapu voters that Pawan Kalyan was hand in glove with CBN and his secret agenda is to grab the anti-incumbency vote of TDP govt during 2019 elections and later support TDP post election. This last min realization made Kapus vote enmass to YCP party resulting in a humiliating defeat for Pawan Kalyan!

Since then Pawan Kalyan started losing credibility. Couple of years ago, he made his secret agenda public by declaring that he doesn’t want the anti-incumbency vote split between TDP and JSP.

All his tall claims of JSP forming the govt fell like a pack of cards. Kapus realized that Pawan is someone who can never be trusted.

The way Pawan Kalyan went out of the way in lobbying for CBN at BJP doorstep surprised Kapu leaders and its more or less confirmed that Pk works on the payroll of Naidu.

CBN declared that JSP would get 24 assembly segments in seat sharing and with BJP joining the alliance it has now further reduced to 21 seats!

While YCP is allocating seats based on population strength of Kapus, TDP and JSP has further humiliated Kapus by not confirming seats for Kapu leaders who worked over the past 10 years.

This is leading to an exodus from JSP Cadre to YCP compound. It is only a matter of time that Kapus will completely disown anyone associated with TDP JSP alliance.
