Why Chandrababu Naidu wants to join NDA, again?
Andhra Pradesh assembly elections are going to be held is less than 2 months and election fever has caught up all over.
Ruling YCP party has so far been ahead in terms of preparation to the upcoming polls. While Ycp has confirmed MLA candidates for majority of the constituencies, TDP was not able to do that until today.
Only today Chandrababu Naidu and Pawan Kalyan had a joint pressmeet and announced list for 118 constituencies. Janasena would get 24 and TDP 94 out of 118 announced so far!
Main reason for the delay is Chandrababu Naidu waiting for a nod from Amit Shah for alliance with BJP again.
After abusing Modi and Amit Shah in the choicest of words as recently as 2019, CBN decided to again get into their good books. Knowing CBN this was not a surprise for either AP voters or politicians.
Bjp which hardly has presence or vote share in AP, is not expected to do any wonders this time too. So one wonders why CBN is after BJP alliance!!!
For the first time in CBN’s career, Jagan was able to send him to jail for more than 2 months! This is something even YSR couldnt do even after filing 26 criminal cases on CBN.
CBN understands that Jagan maintains a cordial relationship with Modi and Amit Shah. If Jagan comes to power again, he will definitely pursue sending CBN to jail again.
CBN’s internal surveys are not very positive and CBN doesn’t want to take risk going to jail again! He has seen how Sujana Chowdary and CM Ramesh were protected from financial crime cases after they joined BJP.
If Naidu becomes NDA partner, he can persuad Modi to not let Jagan go after him again.
This is the real reason on Naidu trying to pacify Amit Shah. He can at least be saved from going to jail if Jagan wins again which is the mostly likely scenario.
However knowing CBN, Amit Shah didn’t oblige to Naidu’s request and as a result, TDP doesn’t have representation in Rajya Sabha for the first time since its inception.
In the coming months, Naidu will go full throttle in seeking Modi and Amit Shah blessings.
It remains to be seen if Amit Shah will be willing to forget stone throwing incident at him in Tirupati by Naidu followers and grant him clemency!
