In a bizarre move, Celebrity Singer Rihanna tweeted in support of Punjab Farmer’s protest. She tweeted why no one is talking about it!!

It is rather amusing to see for a Hollywood Singer tweeting in support of a local issue of India. India has 28 states (After Jammu and Kashmir became a Union Territory) and out of those 28 states only ONE state farmers, i.e from Punjab are protesting against recently passed Farm laws by Indian govt.

Few days ago, on India’s Republic Day, a section of Punjab Farmers went berserk and insulted Indian National Flag at Red Fort. This has created a serious backlash towards Punjab Farmers and they lost support within their farmer community.

Out of the blue, today Rihanna voiced her support for Punjab Farmers. It is common knowledge that Celebrities earn in millions for every tweet or post in Instagram. Punjab Farmers were able to get Canada Prime Minister to tweet for them. It should not be surprising if public comes to know that they have now started paying for celebrities to speak in favor of them. India govt should institute a high level inquiry on why Non-Indian celebrities are interfering into local Indian matters.

Few years ago, Shahrukh Khan echoed western media tune of “Intolerance” after PM Modi took over. Later Aamir Khan too sang the same tune and lost a large fan base like Shahrukh Khan. There is growing trend among a section of Celebrities who jump on any given opportunity to criticize current govt with Nationalistic Agenda.

Solution India Govt should seriously consider imposing sanctions on Celebrities who are talking against Indian Laws that are passed after due process by Indian Govt. Freedom of Speech is a Privilege but not a Right! Unless celebrities are made to understand the subtle difference, Indian govt will have to deal with such nonsense. Hope Indian Govt curtails elements who are working hard to derail the Growth of India!

Jai Hind!
