Telugu Desam Party was launched by Legendary N T Rama Rao in 1982 and received a thunderous response from voters and swept into Power within 9 months of party inception.

After 4 decades, sadly the party with strong cadre base is on the verge of extinction under Chandrababu Naidu. Yesterday CBN declared that his party wouldn’t contest the MPTC/ZPTC elections to be held shortly. He cited degrading democratic values under current YCP govt as his decision to boycott elections.

During 2019 general election when he joined hands with arch rival congress party, he said it was “Democratic Compulsion”. People rewarded him with a humiliating defeat then. In the recently concluded Municipal elections, his party couldn’t win a single municipal corporation! Ruling YCP party won all 11 municipal corporations and 73 out of 75 municipalities!

Chandrababu Naidu was always an overrated politician. He was projected as an intelligent administrator by media controlled by his caste. When CBN usurped power from NTR in 1995, World was going through an internet revolution. He was lucky to ride the wave and benefitted from DotCom boom. Although Bangalore had bigger IT boom than Hyderabad, Chandrababu Naidu’s caste based media projected himself as a Tech savvy minister. No one knows who built Bangalore but everyone attributes Hyderabad success story to Chandrababu Naidu!! That is the impression media belonging to his caste has imprinted in the minds of general public.

If he is indeed such an intelligent administrator, he should not have miserably failed in bringing IT companies to the new Andhra Pradesh during his past term between 2014 and 2019.

Chandrababu naidu is still following the old book of politics. During past local elections, several temples in AP were attacked. He tried to blame it on Christian CM of AP. When his own party men were caught in CC cameras moving a Nandi idol from Shiva temple, he had nothing to say and after that, very strangely no attacks happened in AP temples! AP voters gave him a severe blow by defeating his party in all Municipal corporations!

For the upcoming MPTC/ZPTC elections, each candidate will need to spend at least 30 laks as per political analysts. Typically party gives 10 laks. TDP will have to spend at least 100 crores to fund candidates. Industrialists have essentially abandoned Chandrababu Naidu after his miserable failure to attract investors to Andhra Pradesh. Seeing no light at the end of tunnel, CBN has left his party cadre and walked away from elections.

Conclusion

Chandrababu Naidu freezed NT Rama Rao bank accounts in 1995 in the process to take away power from him. It is popularly believed that NTR couldn’t take the insult of his bank accounts being freezed and had high BP which resulted in massive heart attack that led to his demise. Chandrababu Naidu is now facing the same type of shortage of funds that he once meted out to Legend Ntr 25 years ago in 1995. Chandrababu Naidu has committed umpteen sins in his long political career and is now having to pay for his bad Karma. He has no one to blame except for himself!!
