John F Kennedy style assassination attempt on AP CM Jagan?
In 1963 US President John F Kennedy was assassinated by a sharp shooter while he was in open roof car rally in Dallas! The shooter fired from a near by building directly aiming at President Kennedy’s head!
Last night there was news everywhere that stones were hurled at AP CM Jagan during his rally in Vijayawada. CM Jagan and MLA candidate Vellampalli were injured in the incident.
What was brushed off as a stray incident is now getting a serious turn with circumstantial evidences pointing out that it may have been a sharp object fired at him.
Here are some key factors to consider
- CM Jagan was on top of a bus and he was easily above 30 feet from ground level. Typically politicians would be surrounded by their followers for at least 3 circles. So if someone has to throw a stone, they have to stay away at a minimum distance of 50 feet and then aim at 30 feet above ground level.
- The object that struck CM Jagan came with such a force that it hit MLA candidate Vellampalli also with the same velocity. Any human cannot throw a stone with such force.
- CM Jagan was surrounded by commandos in his rally. The object escaped everyone and straight away hit CM just above his left eye. A random throw pelter cannot be so accurate
- The incident took place at 810pm in the night. During CM Jagan rally, power was cut off as followers were hanging onto the electricity poles. The focus lights were on Jagan which gave a clear vision to the sharp shooter.
- If a random miscreant has thrown a stone, typically the followers would immediately get hold of the person. But there was no one in the crowd who can even get a chance to stretch his hand and throw a stone.
- Although Chandrababu Naidu and his media is trying to trivialize the situation by calling it a random stone pelting incident, quite interestingly PM Modi tweeted wishing Jagan a speedy recovery. He avoided calling it a stone pelting incident!!
- Last year during a rally, Chandrababu Naidu alleged that Jagan party pelted stones at him. Chandrababu Naidu even held a stone in his hand and displayed it to all the media. It’s very interesting that none of the stones hit Naidu. Naidu media is saying that this is a staged act of Jagan but unlike Naidu, Jagan got injured and it barely missed a delicate point that would have proved fatal.
- The video of Jagan getting hit clearly shows that the object came from above but not from the ground. The School in close proximity may have been used to launch the strike.
It will be interesting to see how this incident will change the course of political campaign in AP.
