Chandrababu Naidu degrades himself to a Political Joker!
Two days ago, in a hurriedly convened zoom press conference, Chandrababu Naidu challenged CM Jagan to dissolve assembly and go for fresh elections in the wake of AP 3 Capital bill. He set 48 hours deadline for CM Jagan to resign!
While TDP media celebrated it as a thigh slapping challenge to current YCP govt, it was laughed upon by rest of the World. Because, typically the side which throws a challenge would first resign, seek new mandate for the cause they resigned for and then ask the other side to do the same. This is what happened during Telangana agitation. Legislators who were demanding State bifurcation resigned to their posts, went to voters and won their seats back again, giving a message to public on what voters in their constituencies want.
However, in CBN case he is asking the ruling side to resign instead of him resigning in protest and seeking reelection for Amaravati cause! TDP MLAs were caught in an embarrassing situation due to this silly act of Naidu. TDP won ALL of the 4 main constituencies of Vizag. How can Vizag TDP MLAs resign, go to Vizag voters and then convince them that Vizag need not be capital? This will be suicidal for any politician’s career.
Chandrababu Naidu took a neutral stand during Telangana agitation and that led to complete wipeout of TDP party in Telangana. By taking Pro-Amaravati stand, he reduced his party’s presence from 13 districts of AP to 29 Villages surrounding Amaravati. Lately Amaravati demand is restricted only to 3 villages!
Last year he projected himself as a National leader! Within 1 year, he relegated himself to a State level politician, later district level and now confined to a leader of 3 villages. No Indian politician, that too someone with 40 years experience, had such a steep fall in one year!
Today, the 48 hour deadline ended. Forget about YCP, even TDP MLAs didnt offer to resign in protest to capital issue. CBN should have at least made his son or brother-in-law Balakrishna resign to send out a strong message to cadre and so called farmers about his commitment to Amaravati!
With his latest 48 hours deadline drama turning out to be a damp squib, he has turned himself to a Political Joker!
