Something unprecedented has taken place today in the history of Andhra Pradesh politics! Chandrababu Naidu who claims to be a strong man with 40 plus years experience cried inconsolably in a Pressmeet today. Let’s see the background which led to this fateful event.

AP Assembly Winter session

Today AP Assembly started its winter session. Just yesterday Chandrababu Naidu had a humiliating defeat in his home constituency. His TDP party won only 9 out of 25 municipalities. Ruling YCP won 16. This is a major blow as CBN was representing Kuppam constituency as MLA for several decades!

Its an embarrassing and awkward situation for CBN to face CM Jagan right after the defeat in his constituency. Assembly was supposed to discuss on farmer related issues. During the ensuing arguments, CBN said Jagan’s uncle murder should be investigated again and Jagan has cheated his sister. CBN further said he will reveal something about Jagan’s mother. In response, YCP MLA Ambati Rambabu said, Vangaveeti Ranga and Ex Home Minister Madhava Reddy murders also must be investigated. Suddenly CBN questioned why they are targeting his wife and speaking about her! Here is the background story.

CBN Wife, Madhava Reddy, YCP

Few weeks ago, CBN used his party spokesperson Pattabhi to abuse CM Jagan’s mother. In response, Ycp made Tdp ex Mla Vallabhaneni Vamsi make an awkward comment on why CBN son Lokesh resembles ex Home Minister Madhava Reddy and why Madhava Reddy was murdered. After that Ycp ran a campaign about those comments by Vallabhaneni Vamsi. CBN was making a note of it and choose to speak about it in assembly today when Ambati Rambabu said Madhava Reddy murder must be investigated without even taking his wife name.

Chandrababu Naidu’s previous comments on other leaders wives!

Cbn has a history of attacking family members of his opponents. Unfortunately he seems to be getting a taste of his own medicine.

  1. In 1995, he made media write editorials that the then wife of CM NTR — Lakshmi Parvati was giving steroids to him to bear children. He used his media network to assassinate the character of NTR wife. Note that, after marrying Lakshmi Parvati, NTR got more MLA seats in 1994 than 1983. So public accepted her but CBN didn’t and so choose to abuse her through all channels.
  2. In 2008, he made his leader Kesineni Nani make objectionable and insulting comments against Megastar Chiranjeevi younger daughter.
  3. In 2013, and again in 2019 elections CBN ran a campaign that Jagan sister has an affair with Movie star Prabhas. YS Sharmila filed police complaint against Tdp social media and also blasted Naidu in a public pressmeet for assassinating her character.
  4. In 2014, he made his Mla Peetala Sujatha allege in a Pressmeet that Ycp Leader Roja acted in Blue films.
  5. In 2016, when anti social elements (allegedly by TDP) burnt a train, CBN had resorted to a new low by insulting celebrated Kapu leader Mudragada wife and daughter in law. He made police use the “L" word against Mudragada wife and daughter in law. Mudragada comes from a royal family unlike CBN who came from a very poor family. Imagine the outrage if CBN wife and daughter in law were called the “L" by Police during Ycp rule.
  6. In 2019 during election campaign, CBN made objectionable comments about PM Modi’s wife. Cbn made his brother in law and movie star Balakrishna utter the “M” word against PM Modi in a public function!
  7. Recently in 2021, CBN made his party spokesperson Pattabhi utter a disgusting word against CM Jagan’s mother. Instead of condemning his party spokesperson he sat in a Dharna supporting him!

Conclusion

Bringing in family members into political wars is utterly deplorable and everyone should condemn it. Chandrababu Naidu has started this dubious tradition and he is now facing Karma of his bad deeds in the past. Unfortunately and as expected he seems to be not getting any sympathy for his cry baby act today!
