Balakrishna abuses Tollywood and TRS Govt!
Few days ago, noted Tollywood biggies and TRS Cinematography minister met at Chiranjeevi house to discuss future strategy on bringing things to normalcy for the movie industry. Tollywood actors like Chiranjeevi, Nagarjuna, Producers Suresh Babu, Allu Aravind, Directors Rajamouli, Trivikram were present besides other noted Tollywood celebrities. Today, media asked actor Balakrishna about his absence.
Balakrishna reacted angrily using a cuss word. Not stopping there he alleged that Tollywood celebrities met with TRS minister to discuss about possible land grabbing they could do during this pandemic time. This has created widespread condemnation among Tollywood and Telangana Political circles alike. Balakrishna must have got the land grabbing thought as there were allegations that he got his Son-in-law, owner of Gitam institutions, a huge land of 500 acres during CBN tenure.
Balakrishna may have been upset for not getting the invite to this meeting but he went too far when he made that allegation. In the past when Chandrababu Naidu became CM for first time after usurping power from NTR, he called on a meeting in 1996 with Tollywood biggies. CBN invited everyone from big directors like K Raghavendra Rao to relatively new directors but he purposefully left out Dasari Narayana Rao. This hurt Dasari deeply as he was the undisputed biggie of Tollywood when it comes to resolving issues within Telugu film industry. It may be due to some political calculations but it is not new to miss out or avoid persons. Moreover, there is a cold war going on between Nagarjuna and Balakrishna for a long time and Chiranjeevi is more close to Nagarjuna than Balakrishna. And TDP had a bitter election fight with TRS recently. So it is not surprising to see Balakrishna being left out from that meeting.
Lately Chiru is giving enough hints that he is going to take over Dasari position as “Industry Pedda”. Chiru choose to attend Mahesh Babu’s Sarileru Neekevaru event even though he had his nephew Allu Arjun’s movie to attend. This is to send a message that he is now not restricted only to Mega family functions but other big hero events too. Chiru also took the lead in setting up Corona Crisis Charity fund on behalf of Telugu film industry.
Meanwhile Balakrishna recently is very frustrated as no Producer is coming forward to make movies with him. During the past 5 years while CBN was in power, Balakrishna was able to release as many as 8 movies of him. But now he is left with no movies as Producers do not see any political benefit for producing movie with him!
It is not new for Balakrishna to hurl abusive language. In the past he had used the M word against PM Modi in broken hindi, invited “Vulgar Star” tag from National media after he objectified women at his nephew movie’s audio function. If he doesn’t mend himself, he will only prove the mentally ill certificate given to him after the 2004 shooting episode!
